Your Ideas...

For this blog post you need to explain in details what you are going to make. You should say what ideas you have and why you have chosen these ideas- also explain why you think they will be successful.

1. Music Video- explain what song you have chosen (and what genre it belongs to), what your narrative is and who is going to be in the video

2. Magazine- explain what type of magazine you aremaking, the name, the target audience and how it is going to be successful.

Next step- preproduction planning...

Your First Post

Your first post needs to introduce your group and explain what you are going to be doing, why you have chosen this and what interests you have in the Media.

You should then explain what ideas you have for your production.

Getting started

Welcome to your Music Video blog- there will be regular updates telling you what you need to be doing in order to produce your very own music video.

The aim of this piece of work is to allow you to experience what it is like to be a producer. You will work as part of a team (up to four in each group) and will plan, film and edit your own music video. You can chose any track (as long as there is not any offensive language in it!). This will form part of your coursework for your GCSE and you will be graded on the following:

1. Planning and Research
2. Technical Construction (the film work)
3. Editing
4. Your analysis and Evaluation

Every person should be aiming for at least a grade C in this piece. However more importantly you should be developing your team work skills alongside your creativity in this piece of work- your final video should look like a professional piece of film. Don't be afraid to be as creative as possible!

All the best directors are influenced by others, therefore it's important to watch as many other music videos as possible and look at what makes a succesful video...
